The historical roots of our kennel go back to seventies.
The first dog bought with the own earned money appeared in our house in spring 1973 - that was an Airedale terrier bitch.
That turned out to be the beginning... of our kennel... For many years we were dealing with breeding the Airedale terriers. We did not see a quick success, but starting from early eighties our puppies were being in permanent demand. Practically in every litter you could find perfect representatives of the breed which were the leaders of the crowded (at that time) show rings. The greatest success and most popularity of our Airedale terrier kennel belongs to the late eighties - early nineties when we brought from Germany two adult English bred brood bitches – mother and daughter. Both of them turned out to be perfect dams.
Among many known dogs from our kennel we would like to mark ROTBI MILICENTA BRAIT (owners Nikulins) whose breed lines were at the base of a well-known kennel "Rus Kornels" and ROTBI DARFLY BRAIT (owners Elizarovs), also used for the champions kennel. These dogs gained all the titles which were possibles to get at the shows. The Airedale terriers from our kennel were triumphing not only at Russian shows. ROTMON NATASHA BRAIT was sold to Australia and after a long (11 months) quarantine within two months conquered the hearts of the Australians having became the Champion of Australia and having won 5 times BEST IN SHOW.
In 1992 from Australia an Airedale puppy STRONGFORT STIRMINATOR came to our kennel. It turned out to be a perfect show dog. In the mid 90-ies one of the best world Airdale terriers lived in our kennel: Chapion of England, Multi Europe Champion, Multi World Champion, Champion of the most European countries BALLINTOOBER GOLD OF SAREDON.
Our kennel also grew up Black Russian terrier BINA BRAIT - Champion of Russia, Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, International Champion.
And once while we were showing in Switzerland we saw charming white dogs - these were West Highland White Terriers. Our hearts gave a leap and we understood that we want to have such a dog.
1996 started with the negotiations on purchasing the Westie from Germany. It was quite a complicated task. To buy a puppy through a classified section in a newspaper was cheap and easy. But we wanted to get a perfect dog which would be of a show class and could be further used in our breeding work. So we had to wait for about a year… And finally the first white dog entered our house. After one year one dog more... and a west highland white terrier kennel started its breeding work.
We put our efforts to the shows and our own breeding with hope to obtain good results.
The "Brait Nouz" kennel is interesting not only with high quality healthy and psychically balanced stock, but also with the fact that we manged to gather a considerable amount of rare bloods. You can hardly find the unique breed lines of our dogs in the pedigrees of the dogs living in Russia. E.g. our bitch Funny Face Tiffin originates from the dogs bred in an English kennel "Haweswalton", whose dogs were at that time a dream of every serious west highland breeder. The "Haweswalton" breeding lines are unique because the kennel owner very rarely were selling the dogs to the outside of England. These lines are also rare for the Europe. In 90-ies only four animals were exported to the continent: 2 dogs to the Netherlands and 2 bitches - one to Belgium and one to Germany. Our Funny Face Tiffin is the daughter of the German bitch.
Several years ago we rented an English dog MARKSTOWN MR.HAVASU who successfully started its show carreer in Russia having won Junior Champion of Russia and Chamipon of Russia. After returning to England it successfully continued its show carreer having won Champion of England, Ireland and the most prestigious dog show of the world - CRUFTS.
Within the last two years we rented a dog from France - Champion of Russia, Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Nordic Winner, International Champion A TES SOUHAITS DU MOULIN DE MAC GREGOR originally living in a Finnish kennel “White Willan” and an English dog Champion of Russia BIKEHUNTER ARTHUR who now lives in Germany.
In the beginning of August 2008 we brought a dog from the world known Spanish kennel “ALBORADA” – ALBORADA CHOCO, who already managed to win two dog shows.
